At the end of August, the special girls group and the talent development group of the Amsterdam Table Tennis Club started again. Isabel Vermaesen (13) is one of the participants and says, “In the competition I usually play against boys with my team. Sometimes it is just fun to be with a bunch of girls and play table tennis together. This is possible at TTV Amsterdam. Really fun!”
Yana Timina, multiple Dutch champion and head coach of the Amsterdam Table Tennis Association, trains the girls group. “Girls require a different training approach than boys. We want to respond to that. With this group we show again that TTV Amsterdam is the club in Amsterdam for girls who want to grow quickly in their technique, and want to have fun with each other. ”
